Ava Update

Ava has her first tooth! Yay! Sorry, no pics (it's hard enough just to get her to let us feel it much less take a picture). But she has a tooth!

Also, she has a horribly bad diaper rash that we can't seem to get rid of. Her doctor has had us try anti-fungal cream and now we're on to Neosporin (she has open sores). We are letting her crawl around naked for the day to see if that helps. If any one has any diaper rash cures, please feel free to share. I feel so sorry for the kid (although, I think she is really enjoying the naked time).

Oh, and everyone needs to go to Chic-fil-a today sporting their football team logo or collegiate logo for a free three-count of Chick-n-Strips. I'm pretty sure this a national thing not just Gainesville.

Hi there Victoria

Thanks for entering my contest.

First of all you babies are BEAUTIFUL!

secondly, I am a pharmacist (for the money that pays the bills) Been there with the open sore diaper rash. What I ended up doing was alternating these products, first bacitracin (less harsh and does the same as neosporin) then ask the pediatrician for nystatin powder, once the open sores are there the cream is too painful and does not work as well. I felt like I was baking a cake on my daughter's bum with all the stuff but it did work, and what ends up looking like scars will disappear eventually as well. Keep using an antifungal for a few days after clearing up as well to ensure no return. Then stick with a good preventitive stuff for a while like the white goopy diaper rash creams
