I am a stay at home momma of three wonderful little girls. This blog is a way to keep all our family and friends posted on their lives. There will also be some yummy recipes and, hopefully, some crafty goodness (when I find the time)!
Emmie, You were not happy about getting your picture taken today. Daddy says it is because I put those silly little flower headbands on you (which I think are so super cute, but always forget you have unless I am taking your picture). Our first attempt at a picture ended like this:
Even with that pitiful face, you are cutie pie :) After a good nap and a yummy bottle, we tried again and I was torn between these two:
I love the first one because of your big smile. I am getting more smiles out you these days and you are getting more willing to flash a grin at people other than Mommy. You are still a MAJOR momma's girl, though.
You are starting to enjoy your sisters more everyday. You flinch slightly less every time you hear Ava's voice. Though, there are still times they are simply too much for you and you get overwhelmed and cry. I can't wait until you can really enjoy them. Not too much longer.
You still have not rolled over from back to front, but I can tell you really want to! You love tummy time and get so angry when you accidentally roll yourself back to your back. you like to be sitting up and your Bumbo is your favorite thing right now.
And, golly, where did those cheeks come from??? You are chunking up quite nicely these days! We will get to see how much you weigh next month. I am betting you are at least 14 pounds by then. We have all been having so much fun watching you grow! I love you, Emma Bean!
Oh, I just love it. Even though it is on one of the messiest little monsters I have ever met. A little monster who is a roller coaster of emotions. Who gets sheer joy out of pestering the owner of this face...
Who is her own little bundle of emotions. Here's that first little face sporting her Rambo look while applying her crayon lipstick...
And lastly, there is this sweet little face...
My little zero to sixty girl. This face goes from completely content to screaming in no time flat. It is truly impressive. I love all these little faces, even when they are monsters, even when they are whining, even when they are screaming. But, boy, do I love it when these faces are smiling!
The girls decided they needed to do "a project" today. So, we busted out the art supplies and they went to town. It was actually pretty fun seeing what they came up with. Emma had a blast sitting in her Bumbo and watching them.
August 2: Can not believe it's August! Where did the time go!
August 5:Feeling stressed and overwhelmed today...think it is due in part to a distinct lack of coffee so far. Yes, that is definitely a contributing factor. At least it is one that can be easily remedied!
August 6:Emma gave us sixconsecutive hours of sleep last night! Hoping it was not a fluke and that we are on our way to a full night's sleep sometime soon :)
August 9: Been married to my hubby 7 years today! What a ride it has been! We've lived in three different cities, graduated from college, had three beautiful little girls, made it through dental school, bought our first house and so much more! Can't wait to see what's next! Love you, Nathan!
August 9:Had a great date night with the hubby. Yummy Fajita Nachos for dinner, walk on the beach down in Crescent Beach (made me miss all my Zone 6 folks from back in the day!), and Cold Cow for desert! Stellar Coffee and Raspberry Chocolate Truffle ice cream, yum!
August 10:Lily and Ava up at 3:30 + Emma up at 4:30 + not being able to turn my brain off and fall back asleep, even though I was exhausted, until close to 5:30= Movie Day at the Nemecek house. Yay, for the Toy Story movies I got on Ebay coming in last night :)
August 10:So, when I was putting Ava's diaper on for her nap, she starts going, "Peace and quiet. Peace and quiet. Peace and quiet." Really? She think she's the one who needs peace and quiet?
August 12:Just got to talk to our friends Madison and Kim on Skype! It was so nice to see them! And, really funny watching two 4 year olds and a 2 year old use Skype!
August 23:Big week for us this week. Emmie is officially sleeping through the night (8.5 to 9 solid hours, let me just say WOOHOO) and turns two months old tomorrow and my Lily Bear starts VPK tomorrow! It will be so weird having her gone all day for two days a week, but I think Ava will enjoy the one on one time :)
August 25: Finds it amazing how Emma can go from blood-curdling-OMG-my-life-is-ending screams to complete serene sleep and back to the aforementioned screams without missing a beat. She is not a happy camper right now. Boo for shots :(
If you live in St. Augustine and have not yet visited Cold Cow, get up and go. Now! We are LOVING this place. It is a locally owned ice cream shop with super yummy ice cream! It has become a Friday Fave for us. They even have a bounce house on the weekends :) Awesome! So, next time you are in town, check it out!
Ava has been loving her days alone with me and Emma. Today, she asked me to take her picture on her blanket with Emma. While Emma, was not particularly cooperative, Ava gave me a great big cheesy smile :) Love it!
