First Day of School!!!

Lily Lost a Tooth!!!

This morning, Lily got up and said, "Momma, my tooth hurts." So, I took a look at it and it was loose! Very loose! It was her first ever loose tooth, so we called Daddy and told him and he couldn't wait to get home from work to see it wiggle! Well, by around 4:00 this afternoon, she had wiggled that thing right out! So, Lily had her first loose tooth and lost her first tooth all in the same day! Such a little nut! She can't wait until the tooth fairy comes!

Little Mommas

My silly girls cracked me up this morning. We were headed out the door and they both HAD to pack their diaper bags for their babies! Little mommas. The best part is them complaining about having to carry around all this stuff for their precious babies...what little nuts!

5.

Lily Bear,
Sweet, sweet Lily Bear. Today, you turned five years old. Five! I can't believe it. You have grown up so fast.

You had a lot of big changes this year and you handled them all like a champ! You said goodbye to your first really good friend, you moved to a new house, you welcomed a new baby sister, and you started pre-school. I have been so proud of how well you have dealt with all these big steps.

You are so sweet with Emmie. You love to play with her and help me feed her. You and Ava have a little bit more of a tumultuous relationship, but I can tell how much you care about her. You know when she really needs you to be her big sister and you can always make her feel better when she is sad or unhappy.

You have absolutely been loving school. It is the highlight of your week and the couple of times when you have been sick and I have merely suggested that maybe you shouldn't go to school, you got so upset! You love seeing all your friends and being able to hang with them. You had your first little crush on a little boy named Aiden (who you even tried to kiss...which has me really looking forward to you thinking boys have cooties!), but you quickly realized it was way more fun to just be friends and play tag :)

You have started to get this great sense of humor...when you're not giggling about bums and toots, that is! You are so full of questions, but you also seem to know everything. You are such a smart little girl.

I love you, Lil. You are such a joy. I love hearing your silly thoughts and all your funny little songs. I love seeing the crazy outfits you pick out and then listening to you explain why they actually go together. I love seeing you be an awesome big sister to Ava and Em. I love seeing how much you adore your Daddy.

This year had made me think a lot about you growing up. It is so exciting to imagine all the things you are going to do. Scary, too :) I can't wait though, Baby Bear, to see who you become. I can't wait to see what this next year brings for you! I love you, Little Girl. Happy Birthday!

Love,
Mommy

The Painted Piggy!

So, the girls got a lot of art projects for their birthday. They love to do projects, so that was perfect. One of the kits they got had three little piggy banks to paint. Aunt Carey and Aubs came over to help us out (Mommy is not one to attempt non-watercolor paints on her own!) This is what Lily's piggy ended up looking like. She just kept adding paint!

Lily's School Thanksgiving

I know, I know. The blog has been suffering greatly since Miss Em was born. I do apologize. I try, really, I do, but with the third child, Lily in school, and a MUCH bigger house to clean...well, it just doesn't get done...

Anyhow, the point of this post is not to bemoan the sad state of my little blog, but to tell you about Lily's Thanksgiving party at school! Once again, there was food and singing. So fun! They also had a little Thanksgiving tree. Each of the children told their teacher what they are thankful for. What was Lily thankful for, you ask. "That my Daddy is going to take me to Sea World next week." Huh? He is? Really? News to me :) Turns out that a couple of her little friends were going to Sea World. I think she may have taken their answer...

Cleaning

The girls have been rally in to helping me around the house lately. It's great :) I thought it was quite cute, though, when Lily was vacuuming the living room in nothing but her sleep pants. And, having a blast, by the way :)

First Day of VPK!

My "baby" girl started pre-school today. I cannot believe she is old enough to be in school. I know it's just pre-k, but golly. We went last weekend to get her backpack and lunchbox (pink and pinker, of course), and she had so much fun picking them out! Here she is with all her gear in her cute little uniform, so excited for her first day:

Here she is with Ava Bug, who desperately wanted her picture taken, too. She was funny hamming it up for me!

Such a cutie pie! Don't you love the outfit? That dress is about ready to be retired into the to too small pile and the crocs with Lily's fuzzy slipper are classic!

Lily got off to school great. She got to be line leader and waved goodbye to me like a pro. I did tear up a little...I'll admit it. It was really strange to not have her with us all day. She was so excited when we picked her up and said she had a great day...until, she realized that Ava had gotten to go out and do stuff without her! It was so funny. She got herself into such a sour mood about it. What a stinker!

Lily Gets Glasses!

So, it turns out Lily needs glasses. Not a hug shocker considering the vision Nathan and I have. We went last week and she got her eye exam and picked out some frames. Pink Hannah Montana Frames with pink rhinestones, of course :) They are actually pretty cute and it completes the mini-Mommy look!

Trying on her glasses.

Since, we couldn't bring her glasses home the same day, I let both girls pick out some new sunglesses. They are so silly!

When we picked up lily's completed frames with her new lenses, they gave us a plain purple case for her to keep her glasses, well, that just wasn't glitzy enough for my girl! We got some gems and she jazzed that baby up!

Much better :)

Lily's New Look! Love it!

I, unfortunately, was not able to go as Emma and I are still in the hospital, but, Nathan got some video. So, let me proudly present, in her performance debut, Lily Nemecek!

4.

Lily Bear,
You turn four years old today. I cannot believe it. You are turning into such a big a girl. It has been an amazing gift watching you grow the last four years. It seems like yesterday we were making the drive to the hospital when my water broke.

Bringing you home was the scariest thing I have ever done in my whole life. I did not want to leave that hospital. But, thanks to your wonderful Daddy and the rest of your family, we made it through those first few weeks and months. I loved watching you sleep as a little baby. I still love the few moments I get to glimpse at you while you dream.

You have grown up so fast and turned into such a beautiful little girl. It gives me so much joy to hear all your little thoughts. You love to sing. Not just songs you have heard, but ones you make up yourself, too.

You have become such a wonderful big sister. You teach Ava so much and I am always amazed when I see how gentle and loving you are with her. You will be an incredible momma someday. I am beginning to see how anxious you are to grow-up. While, I cannot wait to see the amazingly wonderful person I know you will become someday, there are times I wish I could stop time and keep you right where you are. This age of princesses and Barbie is so fun.

So, happy birthday to you, today, my little bear! I love you with all my heart!

Love,
Momma
