DAY TWO QUESTION

Traditions, what are some of your favorite family traditions? What are some that you want to begin?

We don't really have many traditions. Our Christmases are still kinda spent on the run visiting all our relatives, so we haven't really had a chance to form our own traditions yet. Someday, I'd like to be bale to spend Christmas morning with just us and then maybe do some visiting int he afternoon. I'd like to have the morning to eat a nice breakfast and open presents and watch my kis play before the whirlwind of family begins...maybe someday :)

I hope you get to make time for your own traditions soon!

We have that whirlwind of family to do too. It is my least favorite about the holidays. We try to get all the visits done on Christmas Eve so that we can relax Christmas Day.

We live halfway across the country from any of our family. I love having our own Christmas, but sometimes I wish we had that option.

Wouldn't that be nice? Our holidays are always chaos too.

Visiting with relatives for the holidays is a great tradition. Don't be afraid to start some new ones too. Feel free to join me from the 1st of December on as I share a Christmas story, scripture and song in a countdown to Christmas. That is one of our favorite traditions!

You'll get there one day, just start with something small, like having everyone make a special ornament to remember the past year.

That was us a few years ago, too!

I love that we're forming our own now, that my kids will have to undo some day!

Even though you celebrate with your extended family, you must have traditions you do with them?

It really is nice to spend time with your own family, as much as it is to spend them with the huge big family. There's jsut something to the peace and quiet and togetherness.
