Extra Special Dress....

Aunt Krissy gave Ava this super fancy dress for Christmas. And, boy oh boy, does she LOVE it! She has worn it every time it gets put back in her closet without fail for the last two weeks! And, she always wears it with boots every time! Love it!

Ava's Hair Cut

Ava's super cute pixie cut was beginning to grow into a bit of a mullet, so we went and got it cleaned up a bit. She's such a cutie! She wanted to keep it as long as we could because she wants to grow it out. So silly!

Ava at the Dentist :)

She was just too cute, had to snap her pic. Both girls got their teeth cleaned today (by Daddy, of course), and they did GREAT!

The GIANT Lollipop (Finally)!

Ava finally got to eat the giant lollipop she got for her birthday. Think that face says it all! Funny thing was, she only ate like a tenth of it then left it for the ants (oh, yeah, I made her eat it outside). She was lucky the ants didn't eat her, sticky as she was when she was done...

The Pixie Cut

This is what I found on our living room floor yesterday. The house had gotten quiet and I looked over and asked sweet little Ava what she was doing. She had a pair of scissors. I thought she had been cutting her pretty dress and quickly called her over so I could see the damage. It wasn't until she got close that I realized it wasn't her dress that she'd been cutting...

Lots of tears ensued when I told her she was probably going to have to get a short hair cut. I don't think we'll have this problem again...

The damage was pretty bad and the girls are supposed to be flower girls in my cousin's wedding in a couple months, so this morning we called up Miss Kym to beg for an appointment to get it fixed up. Of course, I had to document Ava's cut, first. She wasn't too pleased about the whole thing.

We went to dollar store and got some treats for after her cut. She sat so still the whole time with the look on her face that was just too funny. She was NOT pleased. The cut turned out really cute and I think she'll adjust to it. We keep telling her she looks like Tinkerbell, now, because she has a "Pixie" cut.

Little Mommas

My silly girls cracked me up this morning. We were headed out the door and they both HAD to pack their diaper bags for their babies! Little mommas. The best part is them complaining about having to carry around all this stuff for their precious babies...what little nuts!

3.

Sweet Ava Bug,
Three? Really? Already? Is that even possible? You are such a little bundle of sweetness. You are still a little snuggle bug and ask daily to be held and snuggled with.

You are such a sweet big sister to Emmie. You crack me up constantly by telling me what "Emmie says." You always use this funny little voice when you are speaking for her. She's a little freaked out by you (I think you move too fast for her) still, but she is starting to adjust to you.

You are still completely in love with your big sister. You want to be like her so badly. It is getting harder for me to keep you from trying to do things you are just too little for. If Lily can do it, you can do it! You are still sharing a room with her, and even though you have separate beds, I find you almost every night curled up at the foot of Lily's bed.

This year, I have gotten to hear a lot more of your little thoughts and ideas. You are a funny little girl. You definitely know how you think the world should be. You still have that sweet and gentle heart I marveled at. We have seen a little mischievous streak developing in you, too! If there is a mess, nine times out of ten, you are the girl responsible. I have never seen anyone eat the way you do! Eating is like an olympic sport for you! You get so much pleasure out of it, but the messes you make! Oh my!

Little Bug, it has been such a joy watching you grow this year. I don't think this was an easy year for you. There were lots of big changes and I think that was really hard for you, but you are still such a joy to have in our lives. I love you with all my heart, Sweet Ava!

Love,
Mommy

Cousins!!!

So, we seriously love Cousin Aubrey around here. She is one of very few children I love almost as much as I love my own, and the girls have loved her since she was in her momma's tummy. Whenever Aubrey is coming over, they get SUPER excited! It seems, that Emma is even beginning to like seeing her!

She stopped by the other night (oh, yeah, so did her mom and dad...yeah, yeah, we love you, too, Aunt Carey and Uncle Nick). Anyhow, she and Emmie were sitting on the floor looking at a book together and it was just about the cutest thing I have ever seen :)

Sleepy Bug

I found Ava like this after he snack today. I was in the living room with Emmie and realized it had gotten kind of quiet, so we set out looking for the Ava Bug, and we found her just like this. Such a silly girl!

This Face

This face...

This sweet, little, cheeseball face...

Oh, I just love it. Even though it is on one of the messiest little monsters I have ever met. A little monster who is a roller coaster of emotions. Who gets sheer joy out of pestering the owner of this face...

Who is her own little bundle of emotions.
Here's that first little face sporting her Rambo look while applying her crayon lipstick...

And lastly, there is this sweet little face...

My little zero to sixty girl. This face goes from completely content to screaming in no time flat. It is truly impressive.
I love all these little faces, even when they are monsters, even when they are whining, even when they are screaming. But, boy, do I love it when these faces are smiling!
