I am a stay at home momma of three wonderful little girls. This blog is a way to keep all our family and friends posted on their lives. There will also be some yummy recipes and, hopefully, some crafty goodness (when I find the time)!
Sweet Baby Emmaline, I can't believe you are already a month old! The time has gone by so quickly! We have been having such a wonderful time getting to know you. Your big sisters think you are about the best thing ever. They get so excited every morning when I carry you out into the kitchen. They are always hugging and kissing you. They are having to learn how to be gentle with you, but I have a feeling you will have to be a tough little girl :)
You are not the best sleeper ever, but we are working on that. You always want to be held and snuggled. I think if we'd just let you sleep on one of our chests, you would probably sleep like a champ! We're moving you out of our bathroom and into your own room this week. We'll see how you like being your crib.
You get called lots of different names right now. Emma, Emmie, Em, Emmaline, Emma-lime (by Big Sister Ava), Em & Em. You love going for walks, so we have been trying to go most mornings.
You hated your first bath, so I have been letting you take showers with me. You don't cry, but you make the funniest face and keep your eyes closed tight the whole time you are in the water. You will learn to love it, I promise :) You've already been to the beach three times, so I have no doubt that you will inevitably become a little water baby.
We got a couple of real smiles out of you this week. So cute! You look like a perfect combination of Mommy and Daddy right now, so we are not sure who you'll end up taking after.
Emmaline gained 14 oz in the last week! Crazy! She is really starting to chunk up, now. She is up to 8 lbs 12 oz. That is 9 oz above her birth weight! I am hoping we can stop supplementing so much formula and get her more of that good Momma Milk now!
We have been having such a great time exploring our new neighborhood and utilizing our loooong driveway! the girls have been loving being able to ride their bikes. They weren't able to this much at our apartment because I had to lug the bikes downstairs and then back up when they were done and it was just a HUGE pain in the bum! The last week or so, however, we have been going out and going for a walk almost every morning during Emma's fussy time (she likes it outside). It has been so nice!
Ava is still figuring out the trike.
We opted to leave the trike at home, but she insisted on still wearing the helmet. What a nut!
Eating a little granola off the ground never hurt anyone, right???
While Ian was watching the girls, we decided to head over to my BFF, Toni's house for a swim. Oh, did I mention we bought the house next door to my best friend since I was four years old? Yeah, it's awesome, and she has a pool :) So great!
Here's how Emma spent the trip. What a sweet baby!
Yup, she's still the cutest two year old in town...even with mystery goo on her face!
Oh, these are my new obsession. If you haven't tried them. Do it. They are amazing.
